Overview

WebIQ takes advantage of a simple phenomenon of the online world: the majority of users want to give feedback.
(IRI CPG Study, April 2001)

How WebIQ works

A site inserts two lines of JavaScript into its home page to generate an invitation. (That's the total IT involvement - 5 minutes work.)

Site visitors accept or decline the invitation (opt-in rates vary between 5% to as high as 12%).

They download a small self-installing applet.

They answer a short set of entry questions (to illustrate the ease and simplicity of the tool).

Depending on the site's objectives, it can take advantage of its visitors' inclination to provide feedback in a variety of ways:

  • Site mission effectiveness
  • User experience
  • Task-based feedback
  • Brand impact
  • In-depth demographic data
  • Competitive benchmarking

All responses register in real-time on the WebIQ server, and are available for immediate analysis.

Participants are screened from being presented with the survey invitation again for a period determined by the site.
