MTVMTV has quickly become the leading UK provider of online music services for the youth music market. With more than 100,000 visitors each day, MTV.co.uk offers entertaining music content in the shape of interviews with stars, gossip and music news. The Usability Company has finished the first phase of usability testing for MTV and core traffic has increased by nearly 30%. mtv.co.uk has undergone a series of improvements since July 2001. Built around a new publishing platform (dynamo) the improvements included a custom-built content management system with an improved User Centered Design. The user interface was also re-designed and while the design work was carried out in-house, The Usability Company were brought in to provide an independent perspective and test its usability. The second phase of the usability improvements will soon be carried out and it is anticipated that further growth will be experienced in site traffic and that the users of mtv.co.uk will continue to see improvements to their overall experience of the site. |
