Brent CouncilThe Usability Company work with a number of Government agencies through CEO Catriona Campbell's involvement, as a member of the Government Web Quality Group, sponsored by the Office of the e-Envoy. This group advised on quality issues and such topics as user testing. Working with Brent Council, The Usability Company focussed on the new 'Brain' prototype site to assess its usability against standard heuristics: navigation, consistency, feedback, functionality and ease of understanding. "The Usability Company identified a number of issues with the navigation, search tools and registration process that if implemented would have caused difficulty for our users and additional costs to correct. Including usability at the prototype stage, early in the development process has added significant value to the total project". |
