Catriona Campbell
Speakers Profile

Catriona CampbellAs the first ever Head of E-Communications for Barclays Group, Catriona was one of the lone voices calling for the full-scale adoption of E-Commerce at a time when many large institutions were deriding the relevance of the Internet. She has been at the front line of the Internet Revolution for 6 years now, having played a pivotal role in creating Barclays global Internet proposition. In 1999, she decided to spread her wings and became an Internet consultant for GE Capital and others. Now, she is the CEO and co-founder of "The Usability Company".

Educated in her hometown of Glasgow as well as Paris, Catriona graduated with degrees in Psychology & Statistical Analysis, as well as a postgraduate degree in Communications. She began her career working in communications for BP.

She has reported to, and mentored board level executives in her career, as well as overseeing teams and Marketing & IT budgets. She has held a variety of positions including: roles as Head of Marketing, Programme Director and Head of Media Relations.

Catriona is the only female to have obtained backing from Brainspark, the Internet Incubator, where she acts as co-founder and CEO of "The Usability Company", an agency solely dedicated to the improvement of the customers' on-line experience.

She is also a founding member of the Usability Professionals Association, UK.

Catriona has presented to conferences in Paris and London on a variety of topics, however latterly has focused on events concerning the customer experience online for example:
